Dog grooming is a necessary service that can help your dog lead a happy and healthy life. Take a look at common variables and factors that will affect the cost of your grooming service. Call Pamper Your Pet for more information.
Estimates are difficult for dog grooming services, as there are many variables that can affect the price. Small dog grooming services will range from $62-79, whereas large dog services will range from $89-180.
Many factors affect the price of your grooming service. These factors include size, style of haircut, temperament, and coat type/condition. A dog that gets groomed every 4-6 weeks and is in good condition won’t require prep work. This prep work takes time and adds to the cost.
The breed doesn’t equal size, as mixed breeds and designer breeds have more variation in size. Simply put: the larger the dog, the longer the job. Extra small dogs can also take extra time as our big clippers won’t work to trim armpits and paw pads.
Short-haired dogs are cheaper to groom as they only need brushing out. Shedding as well as the time it takes to service your drop will affect the cost. The cost of grooming is cheaper if your dog is consistently being groomed; this eliminates pesky knots in their fur. Pre-shaving and de-matting knots on long-haired dogs will also incur additional charges.
Temperament is a big factor in the cost of your grooming service. We won’t know how your dog will respond to our tools until we’ve started working. Temperament doesn’t just refer to aggressiveness. Poor temperament can come in the form of shyness, nervousness, exaltedness, playfulness, and more.
Keep the cost of your grooming low by scheduling a service every 4-8 weeks. Bath and brush appointments are recommended between full grooms. We also recommend brushing your dog at home.
We would like to inform you that we will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, October 14th and 15th. Additionally, we will be closed for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Christmas Eve.
